I have plex player installed on my mecool km2 android tv box, problem I have is subtitles are permanently on. I can turn them off per episode or each film i watch, but all I have in settings-video-subtitles-burn subtitles is automatic, only image formats and always. How can I change the default subtitles setting to off. As it is getting annoying to have to keep turning them off for every show or film we watch.
There’s two places you can configure how subtitles work but this is on your server, not your player
Settings → Account → Audio & Subtitle settings
Or Settings → Languages
This is what determines what subtitles are played automatically or not on the clients (players) you use to watch videos
Unless there’s some kind of bug, you should be able to configure this to your liking
