What mini player? I see nothing that I would describe that way. However if you are talking about the thumbnails that appear at at the bottom of the screen when the mouse is hovering over the play bar or when using ff or rw then the only way to suppress them that I know of is to remove the index files.
To remove the index files you edit the library and go to the advanced tab and uncheck “Enable video preview thumbnails” and then click on “Delete preview thumbnails” then go to the main settings menu and “empty trash” and “clean bundles.”
If you do that the thumbnails will be gone and you will lose the advantages of having a visual indicator of where you are when moving through the file on any client that can display them. I would think it would be better to position the mouse so that the thumbnails do not display.
I have a mini music player at the bottom of the screen which won’t go away.
Click the stop button - that should clear it for you

Oh, sorry. I did not know because you did not say that it was “music” that was involved. Someone else will need to help because I do not use Plex for music at all. I find MediaMonkey on a mini-computer much superior to Plex for music or other audio files.
Thank you teshiburu.
