- I’ve done that. Twice. The second time with an entirely new library of a different name.
Some anecdotal evidence: plex got completely hung up on the library, my guess is due to too many files. I cleaned out all files older than 5 days. All the files in that 5 day window have no merging. All merged files occur in files created after “the purge”.
To me this points to partial files causing the issue.

WHY? And see above. This is not a feature, it is a bug. And if you fix THIS ONE THING, I imaging a ■■■■-ton of complaints would magically disappear.
