I found an old closed thread about this from 2021 & the visualiser is still not optional so my hopes aren’t high, but…
I cannot stand the visualiser & yet, every single time I play something, I have to swipe down to get rid of it. Is it really that hard to just have an off switch?
Perhaps it’s incomprehensible to you that someone might not want any of those irritating animations cluttering up their day. (Yes, I’ve checked them all to see if any of them are any less bothersome than the others. They aren’t.)
Is forcing me to see it a deliberate ploy to remind me that I’m not as much fun as you are? ![]()
Honestly, I’m really not sure what the point of it is. It’s clutter. I just want to see the album cover/track list screen.
Just for context, there are three places where I use Plexamp…
While I’m cooking (so I’m not looking at my phone).
While I’m driving. (Ditto.)
While I’m working. (The phone is on a stand next to the computer & the last thing I want is that visual clutter going on while I’m trying to work.)
Even if it’s on by default, please make a “permanently off” switch. (Which is to say, an off switch that stays off until I switch it back on again, not one that reverts to on whenever I quit the app.)
It’s not like I can’t turn it on again if I have people over for a party & we decide to gather round my phone & enjoy the impressive light show.
