Tv crashes and app stops on resume/fast forward

Hello I have a synology ds218+ running plex.

Never had any problems with plex in my samsung tv apart from the old single thread VC1 issues that I am sure you are familiar with.

i can start a film fine but when I try to resume the plex app crashes. I can perfectly start the film from scratch the film plays ok. make any attempt to resume from a position or fast forward and the app crashes.

any ideas ?

Ps works fine of my LG tv in the living room

PPS no HD audiio or subtitles on.
