TV episode sort order changed in latest PMS version

Thanks for that. I’m closing on it, but every helpful tip gets me closer to the goal-line.

The real goal-line would be to visit the facility where the Bozo-In-Chief is creating the EPG for my area of operations and instruct that person on the fine art of Google/TMDB/TVDB instead of just making something up. Once their sh*& goes in that WTV file - it’s game over, Man.

MCEB has rejected some of my NFO files if any of the fields contain a “&” character. I haven’t been able to confirm if there are any other special characters that it doesn’t like but it might be something to look at.

there are some characters in XML that have to be “escaped” to display properly. The ampersand symbol is one of them. so if you wanted to display
Black & White
the XML code in the NFO would be
Black & White or Black &#38 White;

TBH, I don’t know if that will fix that glitch, but it might be worth a try.

I also have used

as a line break to start a new paragraph
Wikipedia has a list of characters that might give you grief, and the escape codes to have them display properly

I guess at some point it’s just easier to fix the bogus name, but that doesn’t make this line of discovery any less interesting.

I suppose we’re not doing any damage to this answered thread, but it could help others if we direct our efforts to this thread:

It’ll ultimately be easier for others to find and for us to aim them at when they ask.

Thanks, that will be a good list to have for future troubleshooting.
