TV extras naming

So this is what we have as documentation for the naming of extras for TV shows:

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220707-Naming-TV-Show-Specials-

By comparison, this is the system for movies: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200220677-Local-Media-Assets-Movies

TV shows do also have “local media assets”, but those are limited to stills and audio files that will dress up the client while you’re selecting an episode. Bonus content is not covered.

I mean, I get that TV show Extras are barely a Thing, and that TheTVDB does things Differently, and to be honest I can live with just putting them in fake episode numbers in season 00 – but there doesn’t even seem to be a facility for extracting the title from the filename, if TheTVDB comes up blank. I would expect if I name an extra “Showname - s00e99 - Bonusname.mkv” that it’ll show up as Bonusname, or Episode 99 - Bonusname (either way, sorted on episode number, not alphabetically). But instead what I get is Episode 99. Just that.

Am I just missing a trick here? Or is this really something I can legit posit as a feature request?

Nope, you got it.

You have to hand edit the title and description. I’ve done hundreds. It’s fast and fairly painless, but there is some discomfort.

Right. I guess I’ll maybe do that once I’ve definitively figured out if I want to keep the server where it is now (My Mac Mini desktop) or on my shortly-to-be-built HP Microserver with FreeNAS, since there doesn’t seem to be a good way to migrate that sort of metadata if I do decide to move it.
