I still have problems with TV Guide search, and one of them seems to be the search is case sensitive, see attached screenshots for an example
Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163

Interesting. It only seems to be an issue for “Live TV”…

did again and got this - bizarre.
This might not be an issue anymore, after the 1.22.1 server upgrade.
Are you using a XMLTV file or the Plex-provided EPG?
I don’t see this issue. BUT, the issue that remains is search results aren’t returned on the first try.
1st try
2nd try
Any idea when this will be fixed?

Hi,
I am on PMS 1.22.0 and using the Plex EPG.
I don’t think this is an issue of the search being case sensitive, but the following issue that has been an issue for quite some time:
No matter how I try to search on mobile, I’m getting results. On the web, I can get results for live TV and DVR only if I hit ENTER after typing my search term. The instant search results do not populate.
Does that make sense?
I have reported this in other threads.
For me I have to start typing my search query, delete it, and then type it again. Only then do I get search results within Live TV.

No, I’m using the Plex Provided EPG.
Now on version 1.22.1.4228 and it is still a problem
Try cutting out the search term and pasting it back – unmodified.
Do you then also get a result?
Yes, after cutting, then pasting the same search term gives results
So it is indeed the same issue as @Noah0504 above has linked.
Have you updated to PMS 1.22.2 yet?
There is one bugfix in it which sounds like it is related
Plex Media Server 1.22.1.4228 is now available to Plex Pass users in the Beta update channel.
Please note that due to some particularly large database migrations, your first time starting up the server with this release may take an unusually long time, depending on library size, disk speed, and CPU performance. This is normal.
NEW:
(Library) Improved search handling of non-Latin scripts (#7896)
(Library) Improved search handling of punctuation (#7833)
(Web) Updated to 4.53.0
Updated Translat…
I am running 1.22.1.4228 and can confirm the bug is still present.
Edit: Wait, 1.22.2 or 1.22.1? I just happened to look at the version number of the announcement you linked to, but that’s not the version number your actual comment mentions.
Edit: I see the 1.22.2 beta was just released. I’ll update in a little bit and see if that fixes it.
…and it does.
@TheDukeofPrunes , updating to the new PMS beta fixes the issue.
