<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled> I’ve just started using plex as a media server on Windows 11, everything is great except trying to create my TV library is not working, it will go through and add everything in my libraries but then, during the same scan it will start to remove items. For example it adds all 34 seasons of the Simpson’s but then goes through and removes all seasons except season 29-34, it does a similar thing for star gate sg1 and other seasons. There is no naming difference in the files or folders, I’ve used filebot to fix any discrepancies yet it still does it. I’ve tried almost all scanner and agent options and it keeps doing to the same thing. Any suggestions?
… how are those episodes named and how are they organized within the library folder (the directory linked to your tv show library)?
Hi, the files are named correctly, the folder names are correct. I have three seperate drives hosting my TV libraries, with folder structures like the following TV/animation/ The Simpsons (1989)/season 01/ the Simpsons - S01E01 - Simpsons roasting on an open fire.mkv .I’ve discovered that Plex is actually moving random seasons to another random folder, in this case my American Dad folder. As you can see in attached image it has put a few random seasons from other animations in the American dad folder even though they’re clearly not in the folder location on my hard drive. As for my Dr who episodes, i can’t find if it’s moving them somewhere else, it looks like it’s just removing them after it matches them…
As you can see from the image all the files are in different locations, the bizarre thing is that the Simpsons files and folders are all named with exactly the same naming convention, all within the same folder within their correctly named season folders, yet plex still moves a bunch of them, not all of them, to the American dad folder, creating an American dad folder with 36 seasons
Is your library pointing to D:\TV Shows\Animation or just D:\TV Shows? If your library points to the TV Shows folder, the extra folder (Animation) will throw Plex off…
