TV Series Idea & Other Things

I like the theme intros on television series and I understand they are only 30 seconds for copyright purposes, but it bugs me that they just abruptly stop. It also seems amateurish. Isn't there a way for Plex to automatically fade these 3-4 seconds from the end? It would be so much better.

Another annoyance is, there seems to be no way to adjust the volume of the interface independently of the media. The volume of the themes and general navigation is about five times louder than most videos, so it would be nice if this could be adjusted so I don't have to keep turning volumes up and down.

Also, is the applications section supposed to be broken? My clients just hang there and never find anything and eventually Plex locks up and has to be closed with the Task Manager. I have tried it on several systems with new installs and all running 64-bit Windows 7, same as the server.

Will Netflix ever be made to work? Hulu? Is there an Amazon Prime app?

Why can;t Plex play ISO and VOB formats? I read in the FAQ that it isn't possible to stream these formats. Do they mean impossible for Plex or in general? Are they not considering a local network as streaming and talking about from outside locations? I ask because I know for a fact that XBMC plays ISO and VOB across the network just as if they were a DVD.

Theme music can be enabled/disabled and its volumed turned down at Preferences>music>background

Plex isn't XBMC only one of many clients is based on it and the server is not. ISOs dont work with plex cuz it is a pain stream well the way plex does streaming . This is not going to change . it will not be implemented. period. The only player that can play them really is PMC whe nit is on the same computer as server or on a another computer when the drive with files is mapped the exact same way as on server so the paths are the same including drive letter

Look at the channel forums for status on working channels. there is a usually a pinned thread with info on working plugins or not. they usually stop working when there are changes to the original site and they need to be updated. how big the changes where to the original site will effect how much of a fix needs to be made so it can take a while or not at all.  http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/75265-readme-first-broken-andor-problematic-channels/

Turning the volume down there helps, but it would still be better if the intros faded out. Doesn't seem like this would be a difficult thing to do. I don't think this alters the navigation sounds.

I have been able to stream VOB/ISO over Plex before. I did it a few nights ago but I'm not exactly sure how I got it to work. I could navigate the menus like a DVD and everything. I can't seem to do it now. I decided to convert my VOB files to MKV with a nifty tool called MakeMKV. I recommend it for anyone needing to do this quickly and not lose any quality. It takes less than a minute to do a typical TV episode. Check the audio tracks when loading though because it wouldn't auto-select one of the tracks on this DVD. It may be because it is a "special" DVD where another audio track was added and was never available in the released set.

The plugins section was not working at all. It never got past a loading cursor. That's what I meant. I checked on another system with the identical operating system and Plex version and it will reach the menu. Amazon Prime does not work. It displays my watch list and other account info but will not play any videos. It's been awhile since I tried Netflix on Plex because it always played at 2x normal speed and sent the audio from anything running on my server over the network and mixed it with the Netflix audio.

i do agree a fading would be nice
