TV Show - Special AND Movie together?

Hi,

I have a TV series which includes a movie of that series as a ‘special’. The movie is a ‘proper’ movie in its own right and so I would like it to be in the Movie category of Plex but I would also like to have it shown in the special for the TV series too. - Rather that adding the movie twice and using precious NAS space I was wondering if…

it is possible to have the movie listed under the ‘Movies’ category and also to have some king of placeholder/shortcut in the TV show Pointing to the Movie? (or vise versa)

Does TheTVDB have the movie listed as a special for the show (a season 0 episode)? If so, make a hard link to it in your Season 00 (or Specials) directory for the show, named appropriately.

For example, for the show Firefly, you’d make a link to the movie Serenity named as:

TV Shows\
     Firefly\
          Season 00\
               Firefly - S00E01 - Serenity.ext

If you don’t want to do that, you could also just place the show and the movie in collections of the same name using the collections tag for each.

Yes, it is listed as a special in the TVDB. But I already have it as a stand-alone movie already ripped to my NAS. The hard link idea is exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you for the help!
