tv show stuck on recently added

I have one TV show that always shows up as recently added and has been there for months. I even deleted it and re-added and same thing.

Can anyone help?

If you re-added it then for sure it will be “recently added” :smiley:

I added another source (with identical files) as a back up last week and everything was in the recently added section even though the file were already there.
And will stay there until more are added!

I may not have been clear in my original post.

I re-added the show months ago and it still appears as the first added TV show, even though I have added over 50 new episodes of different TV shows.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps there is a way I can manually remove a tv show from recently added?

Take a look at the file date(s) of the episode video files. Are these in the future perhaps?

Was the real time clock of the server device set to a date in the future when the show was added the first time?

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

To answer your questions.

  1. No file dates are back in 2016
  2. No real time of clock has always been correct
  3. Had a look at the logs but couldn’t find anything with “corrupt” or “malformed”, have attached log files.

My recently added has been stuck on the same shows for over a YEAR. I gave up on trying to fix it, very irritating but going off of other threads it’s a common issue when bulk adding shows and is designed that was as a “feature”. Maybe I’m wrong, in which case I’d be happy to try any number of things to resolve this issue.
