I remember I turned on the feature to allow the background music to play with the TV shows. It’s been a long time and I’ve endured the terror of it always being too loud on my Samsung TV. Now it’s getting to the point where I’m ready to turn it off. I have unchecked to play theme music in the settings, in the general section. Support says they won’t help if I contact them. All the other topics I have seen isn’t fixing this very big problem. Anyone have this problem recently that can help me?

Are you trying to turn it off and it continues to play?
If so, where did you turn it off?
This setting is not per account, it is per client. (and in the case of Plex Media Player it is even separate for each of its ‘view modes’ Desktop vs TV )
I turned this on through my computer. It plays on my TV and I cannot turn it off. My actual question is how do I turn off the TV Shows theme music?
Turning it off on the computer, will only affected the computer.
You must switch it off on your tv itself.
What kind of TV do you have?
Samsung. I looked in the app on the TV and I did not see a setting to turn it off.
There are 2 kinds of Samsung apps, depending on the ‘model year’.
Was your TV model released before or after the year 2016?
I don’t know the year. I had to look for the model. I have a UN65H7150AFXZA 1080P. Does this information help?
The letter ‘H’ means this is a model from 2014.

2014 means it is running the SmartHub app from Orca.

A couple things, I clicked your link and it says different versions. I’m not sure if the version number is Plex or Samsung. If it’s Plex, we are well into the 3. Updates and these are low 2.
Additionally, for those who find this in the future, you don’t need the manual. Per Otto, click left when you load Plex. You don’t need the manual. From there go to General and then find the Play Theme Music.
