TV Shows on AppleTV eventually go out of sync

Playback will start normally with everything in sync. Within anywhere from 1-5 episodes later, the audio is either completely missing, or the volume is turned down and is playing several seconds ahead of the video. 80% or the time, exiting the play session and returning fixes it. The other 20% I have to restart the AppleTV completely. This has been happening for a while now, and it is ruining the Plex experience.

Welp, Plex is now useless on my AppleTV. Every video I try to play is either missing the audio, or the audio is out of sync by several seconds.

Every other device I have (two iPads, an iPhone, Mac, and PC) plays things with no problems. Just the AppleTV. All my videos are in HEVC/AAC.

Since it’s obvious I’m just shouting into an empty void here, I’m going to focus my efforts on finding a replacement for Plex.

Most of us are using Infuse now. It isn’t free but it works.

Thanks for the info. I’ve heard Infuse tossed around before, so I guess this is a sign to go check it out. If it works, I’m happy to pay for it.
