Hello all
First post so be gentle
I was wondering if anyone may be able to help.
I have this Special TV show:
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=seasonall&id=70709&lid=7
Victoria Wood - Live in your own home.
I can’t get Plex to pick this up.
The file structures I have tried are:
\TV Shows\Victoria Wood\Season 00
\TV Shows\Victoria Wood\Specials\
And placed the file within that. I’ve renamed the actual file until I am blue in the face but no go. I used Filebot which picks it up fine from The TVBD and renames it as this file:
Victoria Wood - 1xSpecial 1 - Victoria Wood Live in Your Own Home
I’ve tried various amendments myself but still Plex doesn’t see it.
I’ve copied the directory off my NAS, emptied trash, optimised database and copied back again. No go.
I’d really appreciate any pointers. Latest Plex server installed on a DS216 Play.
Thanks very much
Best
Jamie
Also the same with:
http://thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=series&id=232491&lid=7
Acorn Antiques
Filebot has picked it up as
Victoria Woods’ Acorn Antiques Omnibus Edition - 0xSpecial 1 - Complete Series
But again Plex won’t see it. Hosting directory is:
TV Shows\Victoria Woods’ Acorn Antiques Omnibus Edition\
First, welcome the Plex forums
Your folder and file naming is almost there
Try:
/TV Shows /Victoria Wood /Specials /Victoria Wood - S00E01 - Optional Episode Title.ext /Season 01 /Victoria Wood - S01E01 - Optional Episode Title.ext
Also when using filebot reference this post:
FileBot 4.7 includes a new binding {plex} which will give you the Plex Naming Standard path for all media types: {plex} FileBot Media Renamer => http://www.filebot.net/ FileBot {plex} binding =>...

You sir are amazing! Thank you so much. Completely sorted. I really appreciate the quick response
Have a top weekend!
Glad you got it sorted out !
@Magictorch1976 Ahh the late Victoria Wood… Amazing lady… I guess you’re a fan of Pat and Margaret too
Can’t believe she is no longer with us. A talented lady and good old British humour
Sorry to bump an old thread.
I’m having the same problem but the accepted answer doesn’t seem to work anymore.
I noticed that Live in Your Own Home and Acorn Antiques no longer appear in the tvdb anymore and only show up in the moviedb.
What was the path structure I needed to use?

you could re-match the show and change the agent to “The Movie Database” if the episodes/specials you’re looking for are listed there but not in TheTVDB.com
