TV subcatagories

I don’t like having all my TV shows appear in one page. Is there a way to create categories so that instead of each TV show, it will display the categories “cartoons”, “Sci-Fi”, “Sit-Coms”, etc. Then when I select those, it will show all the shows of that category.

Sure…

Create more TV Show Libraries.
I have 4 ATM - to go along with those 22 Movie Libraries.

You probably won’t need 26 Libraries - unless you do.

Create a few playlists and see how that works!

It’s simple and works pretty well.

The user can pick the option that suits…

… but if either of those two suggestions above is easier to set up and use than just making a few more libraries - I’ll kiss every ass on Bear Creek Road (known locally as the area with the nastiest asssess in the county)…

You don’t have to name or organise anything or move anything.

Just go into your TV Show library, which you have already named and organised and Shift/click or CTRL/click on any TV Shows you want to add to a collection and edit the collection tag.

It doesn’t get any simplier than that.

Season Greetings BTW

I tried setting up a Collection once… then I tried to remove it… it was then I swore to never drive down that road again.

Happy, Happy, Merry, Merry…

I have so many Libraries now it just doesn’t matter any more - but it do make it easy to move stuff to new HDDs when they show up and since I have More Libraries with Less Stuff in each, my eyeballs don’t bleed when I have to look at one of them in these horrific apps and the access speed is almost instantaneous:

Thanks. I had not thought about making them all libraries. I’m used to the libraries just being Movies, TV Shows, and Music. I’ll go with your suggestion
