TV tuner for QNAP TS-453BT3

Hey guys.

I’m wondering if anyone has the setup with Plex Server running on QNAP TS-453BT3 (could be any QNAP though) and Plex Live TV working in Europe? I’m not sure if SiliconDust HDHomeRun or DVBLogic TVButler 100TC (https://support.plex.tv/articles/225877427-supported-dvr-tuners-and-antennas/) will work fine with this setup? How does the NAS recognise the tv tuner? Anyone to shed a light on this setup.

Thanks a million.

I am running the Silicon Dust HDHR3 (HD HomeRun Prime 3-tuner) on TVS-1282.

It is a network tuner. PMS finds it on your LAN (same subnet) and initializes from there

Hmm, got it. Hmm, does it need to be a network tuner? Can I connect a USB Tuner to my NAS?

SiliconDust tuners are all network tuners.

Internal tuners require drivers.

If you use an internal tuner, you would need find a) a tuner card QTS supports and b) Plex also supports.
