TVButler 100TC for Synology - Softwarelicense needed

Hi,

I own a Plex Pass and Plex is running on a Synology DS 716+II. I would like to set up TV with Plex using the TVButler 100TC. There is one big open question:
Do I just need the (cheaper) TVButler 100TC Tuner or do I need the (more expensive) package with TVButler 100TC+Software license?
