The “alternate” TVDB (absolute) episode ordering is missing from the Edit>Advanced>Episode Ordering tab for TV Shows. The alternate ordering is typically combined episodes or streaming service ordering schemes.
For files obtained from ripping discs or recorded TV (the typical legal routes of obtaining media files for Plex) with combined episodes are typically ordered in this manner (“DVD order” is sometimes incorrect or has separated episodes instead). Examples include SpongeBob SquarePants’ combined episode ordering, and the 5 “part” (season) ordering for Disenchantment that Netflix (who created the show) actually uses. Currently, there is no other way to obtain these ordering schemes other than to commit a few days to manually ordering and entering info for every episode! Even then, much info will be missing, such as that of the show’s actors, extras, or critical ratings.
Please add the option to use TVDB “alternate” episode ordering for TV shows.
