I’m having some issues installing newer versions of PMS on my TVS-473. When I try and install the latest PMS package via the app centre > manually install app I get the attached screenshot
I’ve completely removed PLEX and tried installing the latest 1.13.0 and get the same error. The only success I can get is to install the default QNAP hosted package but I cannot update beyond this version. the system logs the error message points me to does not actually contain any error log for this failed install?!
AMD Embedded R-Series RX-421BD Radeon R7; 8GB Memory (6GB usable).
Firmware Version 4.3.4.0569 Build 20180501 (QTS was upgraded yesterday, still getting same error trying to upgrade Plex.)
4 x 6GB Drives in a Raid 5 config.
Curiously I’ve fixed this now. I had a look at the QNAP forums; searching for the generic error in the screenshot and one user was advised to try installing their app (it may have been Twonky) from the CLI after uploading the package to the local share on their NAS in order to determine what the failure may be.
So I did that and Plex has been successfully updated to the latest public Beta I was trying to apply. Just running sh [package name] from the location I had uploaded the package to and it’s successfully upgraded.
