I’ve always used Kodi but now I want to try Plex. I’ve set up my desktop to be my server and installed Rasplex on the RP2. So far i’m loving the interface etc. I’m currently thinking about buying a second RP which is going to be the server instead of my desktop. Before I buy this however, i’m having 2 “problems” I want to solve first before I go Plex all the way.

My first problem is with subtitles. I’m using the Plex app for android as the remote. When I open the “gear” icon during an episode/movie/anime, the subtitles are set to none. When I click on the subtitle I wanna see and touch the screen to go back to the remote, the subs are turned off again… while i clearly set them on. I solved this problem for now by enabling the subs by default however this isn’t a great solution since it still turns off the subs when i want to change them or the audio using the android app.

Sometimes the wrong movie or serie info page opens. When i’ve watched a part of serie x and stop the episode/movie and go to another movie or serie the same info age opens up from the movie or serie i was watching before.
So basically, when i open the movie or serie wall: I open movie 1 and get the info page where you can select subs etc. I start the movie and then i stop the movie. Going back to the movie wall and open movie 2. Now i’m not getting the info page of movie 2 but from movie 1… After opening movie 3, i’'m getting the right movie info page from movie 3 and after that i can open the correct movie page of movie 2.
Hope someone can help me with this and I’ve made my “problem” clear since English isn’t my native language.
I’m at work right now so i can’t look directly to some advice and my desktop is turned of. As soon as i’m home, i’ll have a look.

Is the video already playing when you attempt this? I’ve seen issues with subtitle enabling from the settings on the iOS application. I use the arrowed remote on the iOS app to change the setting on the OpenPHT interface instead of trying to alter settings from the iOS application. I’m not sure if it’s a mobile app, PMS, or OpenPHT issue.

This sounds like an issue with the android app. What happens when you use the arrow remote function of the android app to browse and select movies from the OpenPHT menu itself?

The video is already playing. Seems the problem you’re describing is the same for Android. When I use the arrows it does work. For now I will use the arrows as it also works fine by me.
Turned out the second problem was due the cache. I’ve tried out your tip and found out it’s only happening with some movies but most were apparently working fine. I’ve cleaned the cache and built it up again and now everything seems to work as it should be.
