I have two shows that recorded on Tuesday evening. It is now Thursday morning, and they are still showing as being recording. (This is Us and House Hunters International) If I look at the details, they show 100% recorded. If I try to stop the recording, Plex states it will stop all future recordings, too.

If you’re not currently watching anything else, try killing the active Plex Transcoder processes on the system. That should allow these to complete.

Also, do you have your DVR configured to “Convert Video While Recording?” If so, that might cause this issue to occur:

Thanks, Philip. I just checked, and I do not have “Convert Video While Recording” checked for either of my tuners. How do I kill the transcoding processes?

-Chris

Try a sudo killall -s 9 "Plex Transcoder" from a terminal.

This did not help, unfortunately. I don’t think it’s the transcoder because the system status remains steady. It is now showing eight shows as still recording. It seems like something in the recording process is not ending. We have even watch a couple of the shows, but they still show as still recording.

The latest update ( Version 1.25.5.5492) helped clear out the current recording-in-progress issue, and I thought by the issue list, it would fix the overall issue, but it did not. I am currently looking at 9 recordings that have not ended. I have two HDHOMERRUN records, and both are set the way you recommended. (They always have been, Convert Video While Recording was never turned on.) The CPU (PMS 0.5% and System 15%) and RAM (PMS 1.45% and System 20%) stay consistent, so I still do not believe this is a transcoding issue.
