The latest build plexmediaserver-1.16.0.1181-9505422cd.x86_64 seems to be pretty stable so far. It’s been up for 7 days without crashing on my Fedora 29 server.
@sa2000 Could I please try the dev version too. I have been having a lot of crashes like this.
crashes confirmed. Added you to the list
Possible to get on the dev build also please? Experienced same crashes in the past but have been back on 1.14 for the time being until sorted but current feedback seems promising…
Yes i can see the last crash.
Added you to the list
Please be aware that once the beta goes out with this fix then the development builds you are running are no longer supported and you would all need to update to the official beta
My plex server will not run at all. I’m running Ubuntu 14.04 though.
Here is what I’m getting in my logs for server version:
ii plexmediaserver 1.15.8.1198-eadbcbb45
6 3000 /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support
8192
Critical: libusb_init failed
1.15+ requires 16.04 or later. 1.14 is the last version that you can run till you upgrade.
I was not aware - thank you.
I’m going to switch over to a CentOS host with docker now.
My Plex Server on Ubuntu Server 18.04.2 LTS also crashs constantly. Especially when the server has to transcode a media stream (100% crash rate). Please add me to the list for the dev-release.
I am sorry I cannot find any crash reports for any server for your plex.tv account
It seems, that the whole host crashes. After the host has restarted, I see no crash report in the Plex home directory. I can reproduce the crash behaviour to 100%. I can PM you with the latest logs.
Don;t think this would be the same issue. I have thousands of uploaded crash reports from the other users for this problem
I deleted the server from plex, I’m provisioing a new one now on CentOS 7 running docker. Thank you for checking!
@sa2000 - May I also get access to the dev release? I have also been seeing this crash occasionally.
I am also seeing this same issue and can see that my crash logs were uploaded

Thank you! Installed, will see how it goes.
@sa2000, may I also be granted access to the dev release? Just started experiencing this error on my secondary Plex server and had to rollback that one to 1.14 as I had already done with my primary.
If the fix will be released in a beta build in the next couple weeks, you can disregard as I can wait till then.
