Server Version#: Ubuntu 18.04
Player Version#: Latest
Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed (I am a n00b to Plex), I am not sure how to search for this if the answer is out there.
Anyway, I just build a new Ubuntu Server on my ESXi host and I am trying to get my synology volume to connect with the Ubuntu Server. How is this done? Do I need to create it as an iSCSI or can a regular volume be shared put into Plex? I am looking through the options in the Plex server settings and don’t really see that pops out.
Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance and again, I am sorry if I am beating a dead horse on this topic.
Assuming your Ubuntu guest VM is on the same network as your NAS, and depending on how you’ve created your share(s), one of these two articles may be of help:
Google may be a better resource for you however regarding the more general topic of how to mount a NAS-homed network share from Ubuntu; it’s not specific to Plex.
