Desperately in need of some help here over here in the UK! Having reset my password as advised because of the data breach my Windows laptop can no longer access the Plex Media Server which resides on a My Cloud Home external wireless drive on the same network.
I have signed out of my Plex account and back in again using my new password on the web app on my laptop but the web app is showing an exclamation mark alongside the ‘My Cloud Home’ PMS in the left hand window and the server is showing as ‘currently unavailable’… I can’t access any of my music files (there are 1800 albums sitting in the Plex folder on My Cloud Home drive).
It seems that I’ve lost the connection between the web app on my laptop and the Plex media server that sits on My Cloud Home drive. How do I find this server and reconnect it so I can see all the music in my web app and my mobile apps?
Can anyone help me? In easy to understand language please, I have some reasonable technical knowledge but I’m not super clever at this stuff.
