Unable to add libraries

Version 4.51.1

I’ve setup Plex using the linuxserver/plex docker image in my Kubernetes environment. The website pulls up just fine from my desktop (a different machine than my server), but I’m immediately redirected to log in via app.plex.tv. Even when I do log in, I do not see my server listed on any of the screens (and therefore don’t see an option to add libraries). I do see libraries of other people who have shared with me in the past (and I can stream from them).

I’ve found documentation that suggested SSH tunneling and that doesn’t seem to have any effect. I’ve also tried port-forwarding with Kurbernetes, no luck there either.

I’ve even modified the Preferences.xml file to add my IP addresses to “allowedNetworks” and that hasn’t worked either (not sure if that was even the right thing to do).

I’m feel it has to do with the fact that my home network is 192.168.1.x, but the Kubernetes pods are on 10.1.x.x.

I’m hoping to come across someone who has already gone through this and likely knows what I’m doing wrong. Or maybe someone who has a better understanding of how, when accessing the Plex web app the first time, it determines whether to send you to the setup wizard or redirect you to login via app.plex.tv.

Thanks in advanced!
Brian

Sorry, clustering (Kubernetes) is not supported.

if you are in a docker environment, this should help

I understand. I was hoping to get a little more insight into how Plex determines “same network” so that I can find a solution on my own.

the same subnet

This worked for me. Thank you very much!
