Unable to add new folders to existing library

I am updating my PLEX MEDIA SERVER libraries by adding add’l folders. These folders on not on the same drive as my server, yet I have not had any trouble with these additions. Now, however, I am trying to work on 3 libraries and want to add folders/subfolders to each. In one case the update works without problems, but in another library on the main folder and 4 of 8 subfolders add successfully, and in the other library the folder fails to add at all. I’ve checked the labeling of all of them and compared them to others in the same library and they seem to be identical. What am I doing wrong? Oh, and I am not a techie. Can someone help, please?

I am having the same problem. Unable to add folders from a USB drive that was working fine before. Files from a different folder on the same drive have also stopped working.

The server is running on Ubuntu Linux 18.04. The folders have R/W permissions for ‘plex’ user group. My personal user account which is the owner of the folder also belongs to the ‘plex’ group.
