As the title suggests i cannot seem to add music to my own library from tidal, and I am sure I could do this previously. I am using the most up top date server d/l from the website yesterday. I added my Tidal account and unlinked and linked it again to just make sure no issues with it linking correctly and still will not let me add music to my library.
I cannot remember if i need a Plex pass at all to add content to my library though as mine has expired at present and have not renewed at the minute as was looking around at different options, do i need this to add the content at all.
Note : For the initial release, the ability to add TIDAL content to a library does require either having an active Plex Pass on your account or having your TIDAL subscription billed/managed through us (as opposed to through TIDAL itself). If you have an existing subscription, you can transfer it to be managed through us. This restriction will be removed shortly.
Do you fall under one of these? I don’t know if this restriction has been removed yet.
I am having this same problem. I just signed up for Tidal (through Plex) two days ago, but whenever I view the context menu for a Tidal album, I have only the option to add it to “My Tidal Music” and not to my Plex music library. I’ve confirmed that I’m using a new enough version of Plex Media Server (1.18.xxx) and I’ve tried restarting the server, but it just refuses to work.
Are you saying you can only add a TIDAL album from an artist if that artist already exists in you local library? If so, this is absolutely not true. Some artists in my library only consist of albums from TIDAL.
Edit: Two of these users appear not to have a Plex Pass, and I think that might matter…
