I am on Plexamp 4.2.1 on Android and when enabling “Use Remote Connection” Plexamp just spins when attempting to play a track. On Cast devices that have a screen it displays “Sorry! Something went wrong”. This happens on both Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung S22 Ultra.

Please don’t enable Use Remote Connection unless you have to.
You appear to be sending over this URL to the Chromecast:
May 02, 2022 10:17:07.009 [Javascript] INFO - Cast: using https / 174-100-45-64.9ca4755a195040f8b228799cd1295f73.plex.direct / 16971 for connection URI https://192-168-86-44.9ca4755a195040f8b228799cd1295f73.plex.direct:32400.
I would assume it’s not able to connect from the device to this URL.
What would be the case where one would need to? I was under the impression it enabled the Chromecast to control the player, such as skipping tracks, which isn’t currently possible when casting.
Regarding the URL, I also thought it would be blocked or invalid, but it looks like that URL is actually accessible from the network.
Either way it sounds like this might not be enabling the feature I thought it was. It was just concerning that it caused casting to break entirely on multiple devices.
If the app and chromecast somehow have different network views of the server.
If it ain’t broke…
