I am unable to change my profile picture for plex in the app, on the webpage. I keep getting “Network Error” Error 413, and showing access control checks in browser console.
Edit: This isn’t really a solution, but I was able to get my picture replaced by signing up on Gravatar. It would be easier if changing the profile picture worked in the Plex app or browser.
This still isn’t fixed for me. Uploading a gravatar to the email tied to my Plex only updates it everywhere except for the avatar on the Profile page. I can’t set or upload an avatar manually, and none of my users can either, they strangely receive the same error.
Tested this with multiple browsers, with a 200KB image, the following errors in console.
Access to XMLHttpRequest at ‘https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user’ from origin ‘https://app.plex.tv’
has been blocked by CORS policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource.
PUT https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user net::ERR_FAILED 413 (Content Too Large)
The same issue happens to me. I tried on ios and web and simply can not upload photos to profile pictures. VERY frustrating - seems like basic functionality. I am getting CORS Missing Allow Origin for PUT https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user…
and `Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://clients.plex.tv/api/v2/user?X-Plex-Product=Pl`
EDIT: I could get it to work only for files smaller than 10KB - which is SO TINY!! Please fix. Seems like a cloudflare configuration issue?
Have the same issue: a network error on any picture to upload, in any format or size (inc <10KB).

Same here, even a 9kb photo will not work as a profile picture for a managed user account. So annoying, fix this please.
Same here. Latest Docker Version on Unraid. but it even not changing the profile on the plex.tv website. So it must be an issue on plex side. Seems they had this issue also last year around September. How could this repeat now?
Changing the picture size around 10 kb works, but this is not a solution, as it looks more than ugly!

I have tried compressing my image down to 8kb and it won’t work for me.
Are you attempting to change it via forums.plex.tv or via app.plex.tv?
Profile picture uploads do not work for me at app.plex.tv through browsers, or in the Windows player app, or from iOS. No picture size works even down to 1KB. This problem varies between users who have access to my server, some of them can change their profile picture, and most of them cannot.
I’m also getting this issue with my Plex. I’ve tried even 90KB images, and I get the network error message. I’ve tried changing it on app.plex and on the plex Android app, but no luck.

Just uploaded a profile picture via Plex for Windows, and it appears to have worked. Uploaded, closed the app, re-opened and went back to profile page, and the picture was there. 
Didn’t try other methods such as iOS or in the browser, assuming that works as well.
Yup! Was coming back here today to say it should be all good to go now! If you or anyone else has issues, let us know.
This is still very much an issue on at least iOS.
