Unable to choose photo from photo strip in Android TV

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639 (on linux Mint 21.2)
Player Version#: 10.4.0.4738 (nVidia Shield 2017)

Choosing another photo from the photo strip while viewing one photo does not work.

Steps:

  1. Open any photo within a photo library.
  2. On remote, press ‘down’ twice to bring up the photo strip.
  3. Move to any photo on the photo strip and press OK.

Expected: The new photo is displayed.

Actual behavior: The new photo is not displayed.

This occurs whether or not the photo player is paused. If player is paused, it just stays on the current photo. If player is not paused, it auto-progresses to the next photo in line, rather than opening the photo you chose.
