I just moved my media from 1 hard drive to another but all on the same server. Now it will not let me claim my server. I have tried just about everything that I could find on these forums but nothing has worked.
What made the server unclaimed? Moving media files does not require signing out.
I would start by deleted the Plex registry keys (not the app data folder) then restart computer and the server and try again.
I had to reinstall Plex Media Server as it was getting an error when trying to match. I deleted the registry and it finds the servers but still unable to Claim it…
what exactly are you seeing? It doesn’t say there is an unclaimed server on network, the button does nothing, or something else?
This is what I get and when I click claim it, nothing happends. It just spins for a bit and then say claim Server again
What URL are you using to access server? Is it installed on the same machine you are trying to claim it from?
Yes it is all on the same computer and I am using http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html
Originally set it all up about a month ago with no issues at all.
Can you try from an incognito window. wondering if cookies or saved site data might be screwing things up.
Also I know it is basically the same but can you please try from http://localhost:32400/web/index.html
Just tried both and neither worked. Still will not Claim the server.
If you are using Chrome can you please copy its console logs from after clicking the button and also the server logs.
To get the chrome console logs right click anywhere on that page you have the screenshot from then choose “Inspect”. Across the top of the inspector click “Console” then click the claim button again. The console logs should change as it tries to claim. There may be errors. The console log will likely have your auth tokens in them which you don’t want public so you can message me (by clicking on my avatar)
Your server logs will be helpful as well.
Done. Sent the message thanks
thanks. can you grab the server logs as well. ( from troubleshooting section of server settings)
I’m still looking through your server logs trying to figure it out.
Do you have jumbo frames enabled anywhere. I’m told the “curl error 52” in your PMS log. is often caused by that and can affect things. there is some info about it on this page towards the bottom https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/
Jumbo Frames is disabled
Hey are you still having issues claiming. Looking at your account it seems like your server was seen a couple hours ago
