I tried to delete a music library from plex server, but the library is still there.
Anyone has a solution for this issue ?
Thanks,
Do you figure this out or do you still have a problem?
The problem is still not fixed yet
Did you delete the underlying folders that were used to create the library?
What do the logs show? You should see the reason in the log files.
You might have to https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/
So i am having the same problem, but with my movie folder. The trash won’t delete and i can not delete the movie playlist. I need some info please.
Edit your movie library
go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab
verify that each path which is listed there, is
- still existing
- accessible to Plex
- not completely empty
Do also check for database corruption:
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

Here is my log, I can’t make heads or tails of it. Please help.
You have enabled ‘verbose’ logging. Please disable it, I can’t diagnose your issue because the logs are swamped with “verbose verbiage”.
Plex Media Server Logs_2019-06-26_13-29-02.zip (3.8 MB)
Debug is set to enable.
There are no logs from scanning your movie library.
Only 6 times scanning your tv show folder.
If you please only scan your movie library, then wait a few minutes and then fetch logs immediately, I can try and find the issue.
But I found a lot of issues with your tv show library as well:
/volume1/TV/TV/BATMAN BEYOND/BATMAN BEYOND S01/BATMAN BEYOND S01 E05.mp4"
WHY ARE YOU USING ALL CAPITALS? Shouting at Plex won’t change anything
There is a space character between S01 and E05
The season folder should be only named Season 01
/volume1/TV/TV/BIRDS OF PREY/BIRDS OF PREY S01 E01.mp4"
Season folder is missing. Always create a season folder – even if the show only has one season…
/volume1/TV/TV/BATMAN 1943/BATMAN 1943 S01 E01.mp4"
The (year) belongs into parentheses.
"/volume1/TV/TV/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT S01 E04.sub"
"/volume1/TV/TV/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT S01 E05.idx"
"/volume1/TV/TV/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT/OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT S01 E05.mp4"
Season folder missing. External subtitles won’t work if the season folder is not there.
"/volume1/TV/TV/The Big Bang Theory/Season 08/S08E024.mp4"
"/volume1/TV/TV/The Big Bang Theory/Season 08/S08E03.mp4"
use a constant number of digits for the episode number.
Season 08
and
Season 24
"/volume1/TV/TV/THE FRESH PRINCE OF BELL AIR/THE FRESH PRINCE OF BELL AIR S01 E 06.mp4"
even more space characters
n.b. it’s “Bel Air” (only one L)
Good to know on the fixes for the t.v. part.
Oh, here we have it:
Jun 26, 2019 13:58:51.135 [0xf52f46e0] ERROR - Exception thrown while scanning: sqlite3_statement_backend::loadRS: database disk image is malformed
You must repair your database. As quickly as possible, before the damage cannot be fixed anymore.
