Unable To Favorite Libraries in New UI

Favorites are unable to save for libraries

I am on the Roku and in the new UI on both the standard public app and the pre release one

This has been an issue for me since the new app came out. I have rebooted the app and I have tried reinstalling the app. I have cleared the secret cache. I have logged out uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I have rebooted my plex servers. Nothing seems to effect this issue.

Here is what I know. This only effects my main account all my managed accounts are fine as they have restricted libraries

I have 21 libraries in my list of libraries I can see (only 6 are from my server the rest are from friends servers)

When I attempt to favorite them either through clicking the … button at the end of the list or using the * and selecting unfavorite or favorite through that UI it appears to work ie in the … menu showing all libraries I can “heart” the libraries I want to pin However as soon as I leave that view the favorite does 1 of 2 things either it completely forget its (all libraries are shown again) OR it only shows me the last one I selected so if I select 4 libraries Other, Music, Movies and TV when I return to the libraries page only TV will be shown all the other libraries are no longer displayed. When I click on the favorites icon again (…) I see that only TV is selected as a favorite nothing else is. Any attempts to try again do not work.

Generally the last one stays visible when I do this and it stays while im in the app when I exit and load the app up again it seems to reset to nothing being favorited
I have tried to favorite libraries from multiple servers and they all have this effect for me. I have tried 4 different rokus (different models as well) all have the same effect.)

Poore House is the name of my server and it is infact available. I can watch content on this just fine (from all the libraries)
I have attached the raw logs which are me simply going to the libraries page selecting .. then trying to favorite 3 libraries then returning to the list

any updates? is there any more data I can provide or things I should try to fix this?

been a week I havent heard anything issue is still there in both the prod app and the beta app in roku

alright so I tried again today the public app still has this issue. the Preview app now prompts me when I open to select my favorite libraries and I do and the home page looks great finally yay all is well…. until I close the plex app and open it again now all my favorites are gone and the original issue persists I also no longer get prompted to select my favorites at start so I am stuck once again with broken roku app

here is my weekly post. it is still broken in both preview and public apps. still no word on this being fixed

@pooreboy sorry for the late response. We already have an internal issue tracking this. This is a backend issue that we’ve been investigating for some time. Hopefully once this is resolved it’ll just work on whatever client/release you’re on :crossed_fingers:.

This thread is linked in our issue, so once it’s resolved I’ll update the thread. Sorry for the frustration and inconvenience this has caused but thank you for your patience. :plexheart:

thank you I really appreciate a response. I just pushed my server to the beta so I look forward to this being fixed

I have the same issue. I keep reporting it, they know it’s an issue but still nothing.

Favoriting libraries is still broken for some users including myself. I keep reporting it, it’s acknowledged that it’s an issue for users, the dev team is aware but nothing like “we’re working on it”. Libraries still don’t stay favorited, the home screen is useless without them and I have to go into the screen where you favorite them to switch libraries.

While someone is actually looking at this, my libraries don’t stay favorited at all in the Roku or the iOS app. I favorite them and when i go back to the main screen, one will randomly be favorited. I believe it’s an issue with my main profile but I have typed out this feedback so many times with nothing more than a “we know this is an issue for multiple users” and then nothing.

It’s looking good so far, thank you. I will let you know if they drop out of favorites again.

21 libraries, that must be hellish with the new interface!
