Server Version#: Version 1.26.2.5797
Player Version#: Version 1.26.2.5797 via web
I have a couple of files which is part of a series and it is correctly named.
I seem to be unable to add them in any way to be visiable.
I’ve tried to use the duplicates filter but that does not seem to be under the libray view (under eps) any more. I was doing this on the assumption Plex is adding it in the wrong place.
Can any one suggest how I find a duplicate or even search the app/db for the file names so I can work out where they are going ?
Can you provide the exact filenames for the affected files? if nothing obvious pops on that perform a scan, wait 5 minutes after it finishes and post the server logs.
Thank you Tom80H… I was using the drop down where episodes is presented. Unfortunatly I not sure what its trying to show my as the episodes do not seem to be dupes to me nor do they hve multiple files/versions - that said it may be me and not plex at fault here.
Hi - I didnt get too far with the filter so I ran the scan and even renamed the file a couple of times to kick the scan off automatically.
The file names are:
\TV\Dr Who\Season 21\Doctor Who - S21E013 - Resurrection of the Daleks.avi
\TV\Dr Who\Season 21\Doctor Who - S21E014 - Resurrection of the Daleks.avi
Much appriciated for the help as I’ve been trying to work this out for the last couple of weeks.
If you do find whats going on I’d like to understand how I can work it out next time if I have an issue.
looks like plex is seeing the files and matching them: Jun 18, 2022 09:39:14.418 [0x14734f628b38] DEBUG - We found a hash match for [/media/video/TV/Dr Who/Season 21/Doctor Who - S21E014 - Resurrection of the Daleks temp.avi] which was [/media/video/TV/Dr Who/Season 21/Doctor Who - S21E014 - Resurrection of the Daleks.avi].

These dr who shows have been a pain to get right compared to others although I’m not sure to what as to what as these eps that are failing are s00e00 format and still not showing.
Hi all - so I followed exactly the plex dance with no joy, I’m going to try the script above that dbirch has suggested.
One thing that does jump at me though is it shows ep11,12 (daleks) and then jumps to 13,14,15 planet of fire. I’m wondering if its displaying what it thinks is correct.
EDIT -
MMMmmm I have 4 episode files and 2 on TVDB. This might explain a lot. I’ll have to cosider what to do next although I suspect joining the files will be the answer.
