Unable to find X-files Metadata

Hey all,

I am unable to find X-files Metadata :( It finds The Unit Season 4 and random stuff...

I tried various naming methods including:

/X-files

   Season 1

         xfiles - s01e01.00- Pilot (10-09-1993)

/X-files

   S1

         xfiles - s01e01.00- Pilot (10-09-1993)

/Xfiles

   Season 1

         xfiles - s01e01.00- Pilot (10-09-1993)

/Xfiles

   S1

         xfiles - s01e01.00- Pilot (10-09-1993)

Do I have to rename all 200 episodes like below ? and if so is there a fast way to do it?

/X-files

   S1

         xfiles - s01e01 - Pilot

Thanks

:)

what's the ".00" for? that may be what's confusing it.

HI me again

I have renamed everything now, however when I add x-files to my TV Shows it finds random stuff

For example:

Seasons are showing as single folders called "The Season" ,except Season 4 states its "The Unit Season 4"

Here is how they are named:

any ideas?

thanks

Hi!

I think you're adding the wrong top folder as a source in Plex Media Server. My example wasn't 100% clear maybe. The correct structure would be:

/TV Series                  <-- Add this folder as a source for TV Series in Plex Media Server...

          /The X-Files      <-- ...not this one.

                      /Season 1

                               /The X-Files - S01E01 - Pilot.mkv

                               /The X-Files - S01E02 - Deep Throat.mkv
                               /The X-Files - S01E03 - Squeeze.mkv

                              ...

                      /Season 2

                               /The X-Files - S02E01 - Little Green Men.mkv

                              /The X-Files - S02E02 - The Host.mkv

                               /The X-Files - S02E03 - Blood.mkv

                               ...

                      /Season 3

                               ...

                               ...

          /A different series

                             /Season 1

                                       /...

          /Yet another series

                             /Season 1

                                       /...

I do have the same structure, but I have lots of TV shows so add them a directory at a time as plex gets confused when I add my TV Shows folder...

Your file naming/folder structure is not going to work with Plex. Please have a look at the Naming Guide.
