Unable to play anything through Chromecast

Currently, I can’t play anything on my TV through Chromecast. All files I’m attempting to stream are files stored locally on my Plex Server (Windows 10 PC). Every video I’ve tried so far has worked on both the Web App player and my Galaxy S8+, but the moment I try to cast them to my TV using Chromecast, It says loading for a long time, then “Sorry! Something went wrong”.They all worked fine yesterday.

I’ve tried closing and restarting the server and Android app, I’ve tried restarting my computer, I’ve tried doing a factory reset on my Chromecast, and nothing has worked.

Whenever this happens to me, and it does fairly often, I can fix it by clearing storage in the Plex Android app.

if it does… try to come back to an earlier version of PMS…

I have this error for chromecast but the error disappear when i come back to 1.14

Unfortunately this does not work for me. It’s not a problem with the android app specifically is the thing, since I can’t do it from desktop either. I tried your suggestion anyway though, but it didnt work. Thanks for the suggestion though :grin:

I’ve never been able to cast from the Plex Media Player desktop or the Web app. “No players found”. I can only cast Plex from the Android app.

That is strange. Are you using Firefox (or anything other than chrome)? because chromecast doesnt support anything other than chrome

I am using Chrome.

Dunno then, that’s weird. It always used to work for me.

I can’t go back to 1.14, I don’t have an installer for that in my PMS AppData
I tried going back to 1.15 but I didnt have any luck.

@mrcamptainzero_gmail_com Fully restarting Chrome fixed it there. (Exit Chrome in system tray.)
