Unable to record TV shows on Shield but OK from Web

Hi

Hoping someone can help with this one. Recently activated Plex Pass to use the DVR with my HD Homerun. I am in the UK using Freeview. Plex Server is hosted on an Nvidia Shield with backend storage on a Synology NAS. Plex client is 8.8.0.21200. The issue is that whilst I can record movies to the Movies library without issue, I can’t record TV shows - either to the “default” TV Shows library or a new Recorded TV library I setup. Whenever I try to set a recording I get “an error has occurred please try again later”. The error occurs with every attempt to record a TV show. Live tv works fine - no issues. I get the same error when trying to schedule a recording from the Plex client on my Android phone and also a second Shield. However, if I open up Plex Web (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) I can schedule TV recordings with no issue. The fact I can record from the web interface tells me the libraries, permissions etc are OK. Viewing the client logs on the shield I can see these type of entries when the error occurs ie “Error fetching https://192.168.1.117:32400/media/subscriptions blah blah”

I am at a bit of a loss how to resolve.

Any ideas appreciated.

Hi

Any way to get official support on this or am I limited to this forum? Annoyed I just paid good money for Plex Pass to use DVR and it doesn’t work on shield or my Android Pixel.

Did you ever get any info to figure this out? I started seeing a similar issue on my setup. I can schedule recordings from the web, but from FireTV and Android phone, I get the “error has occurred” message. I just updated my server to 1.21.1.3766 hoping for a fix, but no luck.
