Unable to Reorder or Modify Regular Video Playlist

Server Version#:1.21.1.3876
Player Version#:4.50.1

Anytime I try to add new videos from various video libraries to a standard playlist (not a smart/custom playlist), it cannot be reordered. My example that I am using is a Star Wars chronological order playlist that has both TV, Movie, and local video asset library items within it. Some of which are audio comics, the movies, the tv shows, and game movies (video game CG cutscenes built to watch the story). There are approximately 376 items.

Troubleshooting:

  • when I enable verbose debug logging (I did this before the message above and figured i’d see what the logs say is going on), the issue goes away (i.e. I am able to reorder any item in the playlist).
  • If I switch debugging back off, then it will still work. This seems to be a workaround for this glitch.
  • Confirmed this issue only seems to affect my large playlists that are over 300+ video items (MCU, Star Trek, and Start Wars playlists)
  • Confirmed that only verbose debugging resolves this issue. Enabling normal debugging does not resolve this issue. I added a new item to the same Star Wars playlist, confirmed the issue was occurring, enabled normal debugging, issue still persists, enabled verbose debugging: immediately is functional.
  • Confirmed this issue occurs and its fix is repeatable in both the Plex WebApp and the Plex Windows 10 app.

I am having this issue as well however the enable verbose logging workaround does not resolve my issue :frowning:

After performing some extensive testing, I found out that this issue is related to the playlist load issue.

When you open a playlist scroll through the entire playlist from the beginning to the end ensuring to stop when it starts to load sections until they are all loaded. Once this is done, I was able to edit the playlist without issue.
