Unable to set up new server

I have removed the Plex Server from my NAS (QNAP) and am thousands of kilometers away. So I have reinstalled the package and forwarded the port on my router to access the server by my external IP and port.

Unfortunately, the new server doesn’t show up when I access it by IP, probably expecting me to be on the same network, which is impossible. I tried ssh -L and ssh -D, I even have a VPN connection to the host running the Plex Server but the new server does not show up.

One of my friends has added me to their Plex server and every time I try to set up mine it shows me the friend’s server and says I am not authorized.

I am completely locked out.

  1. Do you have SSH access to it ?

  2. Assuming you do.

  3. Download my tool and place it in /share/Public

  4. Follow the instructions I show in the README. (Github title page)
