Hopefully this is the right section and someone who can fix it reads this.
I wanted to try out and setup the plex live TV option. However I found it to be frustrating and gave up on it for now.
The reason for this is, that the way the setup is designed, I’m unable to get the channels I have to show up.
I guess that all plex developers are in the US where the “Enter Zip Code, then Provider” model works just fine. However in Europe, where TV is not as restriction/streamlined it is often possible to have access to more than just one provider an option for “combining” or selecting multiple guide sources would be helpful..
After some research I found the option for “Deutschland (Erweitert)” which seemed to be exactly what I was looking for (as it contained all Austrian, Swiss and German Channels regardless of provider) only to be disappointed once more, when I saw in the channel mapping page that none of the channels show up. The only channel possible is “togplus”
Hopefully in the future the “forced EPG/Guide” option is greatly improved or maybe support for Schedules-Direct is added so that all channels can be imported to plex without restriction.
Regardless of the (for me unusable) live tv function, great work on Plex overall! Really happy to be a plex pass user
