Decided to shake the dust off the Sony NSZ-GS7. There’re two apps for Plex in the Play Store for it. With Plex for Sony (last updated in 2014) I can log in, but it doesn’t display anything in my library.
With the regular Plex app (updated last in 2016) I get the “an error occurred while attempting to communicate to plex.tv” and I can’t sign in (can’t sign up either, same error). Weirdly enough, not only I can sign in with the Plex for Sony, I can also sign in with Chrome.
So I’m wondering what makes the newer app unable to communicate with plex.tv when the older app and Chrome both can and is there a less obsolete app I can try to side-load?
