Unlocking the Android App not working

Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685
Player Version#: No clue
I’m trying to extend my Android App activation to my family’s devices, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I paid the one time fee on my personal phone, then tried logging in with both my plex and email (google) account, and when I click “already activated”, it doesn’t detect it. I’d rather not have to login using my personal email on 5-6 devices as that’s a serious security risk. So how do I extend the mobile app activation ? It should just simply be linked to your plex account, not what store you purchased it in, otherwise it’s a major hassle to deal with. (Also I’ve read the FAQ).

EDIT: All devices use android and google play store.

bump.

The one-time activation has always been linked to the App Store (and account) that purchased it (as per the policies of those app stores).

Keep in mind the need to activate the app will go away with the newly released mobile apps!

From the related blog post:

So Long, Mobile Unlock Fee

Our Android and iOS mobile apps previously required a one-time activation fee or Plex Pass to remove the one-minute playback limitation when streaming content from a Plex Media Server. As part of these changes, there will no longer be any such one-minute playback limitation. Playing content on a local network will be free in the new mobile apps. These changes will go into effect when the new mobile Plex experience exits the preview period and launches publicly.
