Unnecessary transcoding

Lately when I play a video, it will transcode the audio to AAC. I had been using 5.1 AC3 which was direct playing. The files are M4V and streaming over a local network. I can force direct play on one television but the rest of them have no sound at all when I do this. Even video with stereo AC3 is being transcoded and has no sound when forced to direct play.

I was very careful in the beginning testing many file types and formats, and even the ones I first started out with that direct played no longer do. Based on some other posts, it seems this might be because of an update to the roku firmware.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I was able to resolve this by performing a factory reset on the Roku.
