I have been running Plex from linuxserver.io on docker forever. always updates fine.Few issues.
Tonight I added a movie and plex wasn’t picking it up for some reason. So I did a quick update just to try, and after that I couldn’t get to to the webserver or access it again.
There was an error in the log - a “Critical: libusb_init” and I googled but didn’t find anything helpful. So I removed the docker and wanted to do a quick reinstall. I pulled plex from binhex this time not really caring. It came back up but even though I gave it the same name, now it looks like I have two servers of the same name. so my few users would have to go through some hoops to unpin from this server and pin from the new one I guess. Not sure.
Is there a way for plex to merge these two server names? or do I have to bite the bullet now and re-setup the server and get all the users to make a change.
Any information on what I can do or could have done better would be appreciated.
