I had originally installed Plex on my DS1512 and named it, for example, 'Apple'. A year went by and for whatever reason, I ended up uninstalling Plex and then reinstalling later on. I couldn't remember exactly what I had named my server originally, so I named it, 'Orange'. Now both Apple and Orange appear on my iDevices and I can't seem to find a way of deleting or removing 'Apple' for good (lol).
I've tried optimizing, emptying the trash etc via the plex server interface but to no avail.

Similar issue. The volume on my Synology NAS crashed, so after I installed two new drives, I created/formatted a new volume and installed the latest Plex package. Installation was fast and easy, one of the first things I did was rename the Plex server the same as it was before. Now, I have three Plex servers listed in My Plex: the old (pre-crash) server, the reinstalled server (Plex Media Server) and the renamed server. I copied over a couple of movies that I purchased after the volume crashed (that is, they've never been on the volume before) to test things out and those movies show up when I select any of the three of the servers in My Plex.
Following Trudge's advice, I removed the two new servers from My Plex (I kept the original one because it seems to be working and I didn't want to lose all the shares.)
When I am on my Windows tablet on my local network, it still finds all three "servers" and shows me everything in triplicate. How do I remove these unwanted servers when I'm on my LAN?
Thanks, Michael. Unfortunately that seems to have no affect when it searches the LAN. I went to My Plex in the Win 8 app and logged out and can confirm that it still sees two Plex servers at the same local IP (192.168.1.200.) I can delete them both but the app automatically scans my lan every few seconds and adds them right back.

Hi, Trudge! This is what I get when I enter [my ip]/servers
Attaching a couple of images - one shows just a single registered server in Servers on Plex.tv, the other shows how I am seeing 3 duplicate libraries in the Windows 8 Plex app and finally the servers that the Win 8 app is discovering on the LAN. Hope they help. When I select a LAN server within the Win 8 app and choose Delete, it just reappears a few seconds later. Hoping there is some Plex config file on the Synology server that just needs to be edited or something...
A follow up: turns out the issues is with the 1.6.0.6 win8 client (the current version in the Windows store) and not the Synology server. Downgrading the client to 1.6.0.3 or 1.6.0.4 fixed the problem and I now see only a single instance of my library.
