After migrating to Synology NAS, Two servers appear

Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252
Player Version#:
PMS has been running on my Mac for a long time but I recently installed a Synology NAS and set it up as my Plex Server. Now there are two servers listed on the left margin of Plex when I open it, no matter what device I access Plex with. The Mac server is no longer functional.

Is there a way to remove the old Mac server so only the Synology server appears?

I did so but the old server does not show up in this list. Does show up in the left margin though.

Hate to sound like a dope, but I do not know how to do that.

How do I know the old server is not running? I have to select More under Home and the Old Server, New Server and Plex all show up.

Under Settings, Old Server, I find no way to delete it. I also do not find a Server option per se under Settings at all.

Hubs??

The Old Server-General page indicates it is Unclaimed and Not Secure.

Let me revise that. This could be the problem: If I open Plex directly from Synology, it only shows the new server and Plex. If I open Plex from my Mac, both servers and Plex appear, same on my iPhone so I assume TiVo and Roku will also show the old server. Maybe an adjustment in the client settings will make the difference??

Chevron is there.

I selected quit then went to applications and there was a Plex Media Server icon which I put in the trash.

Now I have no way of starting the PMS.

Only the Old Server indicated it was not claimed.

Well, not sure what happened overnight but I am in worse shape this morning as it pertains to Plex. I cannot connect to PMS from any source, including directly from within Synology.

I have tried your browser suggestion and nothing happens. Says The Connection Was Reset. Nothing opens.

This has never occurred before in fact, since moving to the NAS, Plex has never worked better. I am lost.

I did reboot the NAS and that brought Plex back up. I had to do that yesterday too. Never required before so not sure what’s causing it.

DSM?

Disregard. Yes, it’s running.

I did the web/ip address and that worked.

But, I still have the old server showing up if I use the Plex app on any device.

Using the NAS IP address only brings up the new server, which is the desired outcome, but still not sure how to eliminate the old server from showing up on all the other devices when using the Plex app.

Thanks for your patience.

The old server does not show up in Authorized Devices

I have trouble with the second step. Plex Settings > Server (Left margin, yes? Both servers show up there but I find no way to delete the Old Server.

I did.

It does not.

Both servers show up as Nearby and both have a green padlock icon next to their name. As yesterday, the Old Server indicates not claimed and remote access not working.

No delete option on the old server under More either. There is a manage server option but no option to delete.

Chevron was there so I quit Plex on the Mac. If I load Plex from the web, old server does not show up. If I use the PMS icon on the Mac, it does. On the iPhone, both servers show up but the old server says offline. But I can’t get rid of it.

I don’t understand. I hope you don’t think I am fabricating any of this. I am sincerely trying to follow your directions and the first to admit I am a novice. Yesterday I deleted the PMS icon from the Mac but had to pull it out of the trash to be able to access Plex on the Mac again.

I am working from my Mac with all of this. Please don’t confuse my lack of Plex experience with lying. Kinda harsh. I truly appreciate your help and patience and I am trying to learn. But, dishonest, I am not.
