Unzip: could not rename zip output directory: Access is denied - Codec Download

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Windows server 2019

I’ve been banging my head against this all day. Seems specifically related to MKV codecs. When I analyze a file, it will download the codec successfully, but the folder remains as (as an example) EasyAudioEncoder-141-windows-i386.tmp.

These were under appdata, so I moved the location to another drive completely, thinking it was an issue with permissions, I gave the whole plex media server folder permissions for full access by users as well. but now I’m starting to wonder if this may be some sort of sharing violation. Like it tries to rename the file folder while it is still open?

Anyone have any ideas?

And absolutely stupid, but perhaps someone will find this useful.

I was using Immunet antivirus, and even though I’d excluded the entire drive from the software it did not matter. After uninstalling it works.

So I guess i’m hunting for another AV solution.

Not sure about that particular anti-virus but alot of programs will still use windows TEMP as the end-all of temp folders then move it to your chosen temp folder.

If you like that anti-virus program I would try to exclude windows TEMP folder aswell. Though that does come with some warnings!! Of course…

If you see this get in touch with me and i can walk you through how to set up an exception on immunet, i got mine working just fine with no problems.
