Upcpming versions and iOS compatibility

Hi,

We are using Plex for a Long Time on several iOS devices atHome and we have reached the Point wehre one of them is Almost dead (iPad 1 Running ios5). Its Not usable Anymore and i have to create prerendered versions of Videos to make them work there (which Works sometimes)
I Would like to like to replace this iPad (it’s My old device and is only Used by my 3 year Old son). I just saw that the current Version of the Plex App Requiems iOS 8.1.
Do. you have Andy Informations how Long iOS 8 and 9 will be enough to run the current Version ?
The Question May sound Strange, but i do Not want to buy an old device from eBay to realize its to old 6 months later

Whoa, some serious thanatophilia going on here.
Plex does not discuss any future plans on these forums. In my opinion, just buy one of the latest iPad Pro models and if nothing exceptional happens, you’ll be set up for another 6 or more years.
