Hi, I’ve only had Plex a few days and i’m having a problem. Every time I manually try to Update my Library It removes everything one by one and then reacquires it. I assume that isn’t the intended function of the update button, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what they had done to fix it?
Settings - Server - Library - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Empty trash automatically after every scan”

if your media storage is not on the same machine as the Plex server or if your media storage is on externally connected hard drives (particularly those “mobile” drives which aggressively spin down their spindles to save power).
It’s weird, seems I had a folder on my drive before my data and Plex didn’t seem to like that. Moved the contents out of the folder and everything is working fine now.
I will do what you’ve mentioned, i’m sure it will save me some hassle in the future. Thanks for the help
